who will do them justice.
Now to find a setting they will fit in. Something medieval-ish, mostly with humans. Early thoughts included Clark Ashton Smith's Hyperborea which would probably suit the barbarians but the plate armoured chaps not so much; his Zothique, but that's got a more Near East / desert feel; Hyboria, of course, which is still a front-runner; some of the Young Kingdoms in the world that features Melnibone; Fritz Leiber's Nehwon; and probably the favourite, Jack Vance's Lyonesse. Possibly an old-school D&D world like Grayhawk would do but they are usually teeming with intelligent life. I'll put up details as I think of them, not that anyone cares.
Following the basing issue the first figures are now done. The Warrior medieval types are now on slottbases, with a 10mm x 2mm magnet underneath to facilitate storage in biscuit tins. Here they are.
Also ready are some of Warrior's barbarians, which are great figures and cheap. These were brilliantly painted by Arthur at: http://www.ezpainter.co.uk/index.html
There are also some nice elves off Ebay which have a good Corum feel to them. The leader is Games Shoeshop, the others I think ex-Grenadier.
Still no idea for a setting though!

Next are some different barbarians, old Grenadier ones available from all over the place including http://www.battlezone-miniatures.co.uk/shop. These are also painted by Easy Painter and are really nice.
Thirdly are some more Warrior Miniatures chaps, from http://www.warrioronline.demon.co.uk/25fantasy/index.htm. These are painted by me.
